About Me

HOW IT ALL STARTED

Hi, I'm Sara!

In 2017, I graduated from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga with a Bachelor's in Communications and minor in English Writing. While I was there, I took several design classes and fell in love with website and graphic design.

Once I graduated, I was a graphic design intern at a local Chattanooga nonprofit. When my internship ended, I was hired at a Chattanooga creative agency as a website designer working primarily with WordPress and Beaver Builder.

In March of 2020, I started SVS Creative and began my self-employed journey. Since then, I've worked with a number of agencies and businesses providing various design services.

MORE ABOUT ME

Why Design?

I love being creative and problem-solving so this work is fun for me and doesn't even feel like work! Building a website from start to finish is like working a puzzle. Putting all the pieces together to create something beautiful is so satisfying. I also love helping people turn their visions and ideas into reality. Most people have great ideas in their head, they just need help making them happen.

One thing that separates me from other designers is that I don't focus just on the aesthetic of the website or design. Of course design needs to grab attention, but it also needs to call your audience to action. My goal is to share your intended message in an eye-catching way with your target audience in mind.

BEST OF BOTH WORLDS

Meet my family!

I'm so blessed to be married to my best friend, Alex, and be mom to two amazing girls, Eva and Parker. We also have a little dog named Millie who we adopted from a local rescue. Although self-employed life has its fair share of challenges, it provides the opportunity to be home with my girls while also running my own business.

I'm living the best of both worlds and I'm so thankful to all of my clients, businesses and agencies who have entrusted me with their projects. If you are a small business owner or agency owner, I can relate to how difficult it can be to maintain a healthy work-life balance. If you need help with design or blog writing for your business, please reach out so we can talk more!

What can I take off of your plate?

I get it. As a business owner, there’s an endless to-do list and it’s hard to do it all yourself. Delegate some of your work to me so you can put your business first again.
